LAVENDER -Reply

One of the best beginner books I ever read was
by Elsa ?, "A Garden of One's Own." In it she
relates a story that she was bemoaning to a
visiting Aunt the fact that she was having such
difficulty propagating or needed more lavender.
Apparently her Aunt reached over, grabbed a
handful of lavender and yanked at it, roots
came up and all, and said to Elsa, "For heaven's
sake, Elsa, get ahold of yourself!" That's my
recollection of the story, sounded easy enough,
but I haven't tried it myself. Let us know if it
works!

The book is a very worthwhile read, beginner or
not.

What is the best (easiest?) way to propagate
lavender (think mine is
the English variety)

thanks....
