Susan,
This is what happened. In early Spring we had our house for
sale and so I wasn't going to put anything new into the garden.
But as time went on and I couldn't hold back my addiction to dirt,
digging and buying more plant stuffs, I bought some big dinner plate
dalihas and some smaller ones too. I decided if I was moving soon
that I wasn't going to leave those spendy guys behind. So I took
some 1 gal pots and put in rocks, good soil, bulb food and dalihas. Then I
buried them to just above ground level so I could easily locate them for the
move and not disrupt them too much. This also worked very well to keep down
the slug damage. The smaller bulbs have grown nicely and are blooming. The
dinner plate variety have
grown tall with nice leaves but no sign of buds. About 3 weeks ago
one of them acted like it was water starved and dieing, so I dug
out the pot and put him directly into the ground. It was very root
bound and so that explained his hanging head and tongue. Now he
looks great but still no sign of buds on any except the smaller ones.
I'm wondering if it is just because they are different plants
somehow and................ I don't know.........................what to
do..................
what to do???????
Sorry, to go so long. ( : p-l-e-a-s-e, h-e-l-p : )
