Re: moving dicentra


It is normal for D. spectabilis to die back, but not all of them do.  D.
exima remains above ground all year, and there is even a cultivar called
Luxuriant that blooms all year.
D. spectabilis is a lovely plant, and well worth keeping in the garden but
shouldn't be given too prominent a place because of it's habit of dieing
back.
