Hi Lynn
Someone else already mentioned "The Well-Tended Perennial Garden".
I wanted to add a ditto to that. If you are a beginning gardener (as
I am) it is invaluable as it tells you exactly how to cut back,
deadhead, etc each kind of plant. You find out which to cut back in
the fall, which should be left alone until spring, the best times to
divide plants, which to mulch etc. etc. I can't speak highly enough
of it.
