Hibiscus, tropical

For the person who was looking for info on growing the tropical hibiscus,
there is a co-worker who has a south-east wall of windows in his office who
grows these hibiscus in pots here at work. He says that you can put them
outside all summer, but when you bring them in for the winter, cut them
back to about 6-10 inches. They will leaf out once you set them in bright
light (like his office windows). He fertilizes with Miracle Gro (or any
other high phosphate fertilizer) about twice a month at a rate of 1/4 tsp.
per gallon of water.

I must confess that I'm envious because his hibiscus blooms intermittently
all winter, too.
