Re: perennials DIGEST V3 #305
Yvonne
are you really gonna try this for you flowers. I would be very
interested to know the results. also I would love to have the
directions on the mixture that you plan on using.
for some strange reason that I can't idinify I feel like this might
be a good thing. I might be wrong. I spend scads of money on miracle
grow and other fertilizer for my flowers, but of course this time of
year it's just useless. I don't think there is anything that can help
my garden at this point. I'm trying to re-think everything right
now. have spent the past week looking at some web pages trying to fine
some plants that are hardy in this area with our weather in mind. I've
always bought things that I like, not thinking about wheather or not
they can survive our summers. I've ordered from catalogs with nothing
in mind except "oh that is so pretty, and can just see it blooming in
my garden" that is why I've killed so many plants over the years.
right now I'm trying to keep my most important things alive. I'm even
watering some of my lilies and they are very hardy in this area, but
this has been a very bad summer and it's not over yet. and our
weatherman says that he does not see any rain in the next week
about your mole problem I think I read in one of my Southern Living
magazines or it could have been posted on the list. I don't
remember, that used cat litter placed at. or in the mole hole
would do the job. haven't tried this myself but you might want
to give it a try and see what happens can't hurt
well, happy gardening Yvonne
