Re: Amorph/Arisaema/ Dutchman's Pipe

Hello Kemberly,
Look forward to seeing the digital photo of your Amorph(?). Please send
by attachment when you get an opportunity. Be glad to see if I can do an ID
for you.
One of the members of Alpine-L is down in Florida someplace doing the
Arisaema and Arum thing in his garden. Has a web site, but for the life of
me I can not remember his name or the address. Never bothered to store the
information since it does not apply to my garden.... selective memory or old
age? hummmm.....
I have one Dutchman's Pipe in a pot that has been there for about 3 or 4
years now. A friend brought me a start and I never got around to finding the
right spot for it until this year. This fall it goes on the divider between
the nursery display area and the east side of the house along with the Sweet
Autumn Clematis. About all I know about them is Aristolochia durior is the
most common and there is one other that is relatively rare. What have you
found? Tell us all about your species and perhaps someone who knows more
than I will jump in here and we can all learn more about this vine.
