Re: can't water...need help!

I know your exact feelings - last year at this very time we had 90 days 
without rain and we were on our 21st day above 100 degrees 85 days above 95.  
How I handled it was to take most of my things down by 1/3 - and took off 
most of my blooms too.  The plants looked like heck but I believe it helped 
them.  If you have had your garden planted for 2 1/2 years your plants should 
be well established. (perennials sleep, creep, leap)  I will admit that I 
also hand water some of my precious things in pots.  One thing you can do - 
or maybe you are already doing is try to save your shower water in buckets or 
pots for your most precious things.  I also used the water from some of my 
cooking - for instance, the water left from steaming veggies, potatoes, etc. 
(I wouldn't use water that meat was cooked in.) and so on.
