I got one for you. A small town here in KY drained its municipal pool,
closed it for the year, and is going to use the water to irrigate the local
golf course. And I quote: "it's more expensive to replace the sod at the
golf course so we felt that this was a better utilization of our water."
What about the sweaty children? I guess they don't contribute to the golf
fees or vote so what the heck, huh? I can bet you that they won't let them
in the clubhouse to enjoy the air conditioning, either!
The drought brings out the worst in people, but this just about takes the
cake.
