Off Topic: Morninglories and Moonflowers

I know this is off topic, but being a relatively new gardener, I have a
question about something interesting that happend with my Morninglories and
Moonflowers. A friend had grown Moonflowers last year and she saved the
seed. She also had a lot of re-seeding in one of her beds.

She gave me some of the seeds and I got them started in growing medium in
the early spring. I also started some Morninglories from seed that I
bought. We put both of these in our gardens. The leaves look very
different from each other, but guess what??? All the flowers are
Morninglories - no Moonflowers in the bunch. What happened????

Even the ones that she had that re-seeded from last year have Morninglory
blossoms on them. Anyone have any answers for me. Thanks
