Hi all-
I've moaned enough about our lack of rain (Ginny & I are in the same
area). Now I just want to recognize a plant that I deem incredible
through all this.
I got some orphaned variegated liriope from around the construction
trailer in our neighborhood 2 yrs ago, planted them, later moved them
and then yanked them out in large clumps and, not knowing what to do
with them, dropped the clumps under the deck 'til I found them a new
home. The heat/drought hit, no planting was done, and Lo and behold!,
they are growing great guns!! Sitting ON TOP of the soil under the
deck. No watering. Never planted.
Any other "heroes" out there?
Barb (southeastern PA, where I thought you couldn't kill yarrow and
monarda!)
