I've also seen two hummings birds this year - my kids love it. Mine are
going for mainly tropicals - such as the Papaya tree and the Columnea Gold
Fish plant.
They do love the Hamelia (hummingbird bush) and the pine cone shrimp that is
now in full bloom. I also have a Firecracker Plant (AKA Christmas Candle) -
wish I knew the botanical of this one - it was a pass along but a wonderful
performer in the fall - maybe I'll post as a "mystery plant" and let the
experts help.:o) I know that it is hardy in zone 7.
Two annual vines that they are drawn to is the Grape Hyacinth Bean Vine and
the Cypress Vine.
