Lynn,

You can readily get malva 'Zebrina' which looks almost exactly like
'Marina'. The difference? The former has less of a purple tinge than the
latter. Isn't it funny what they call blue in the plant kingdom? I have
the same calendar I believe because I was laughing with a co-worker about
it yesterday.

Anyhoo, you can get the 'Zebrina' (and I hope that is the correct name)
seeds anywhere. I've seen them in K-Mart and also many garden centers. Be
aware that the picture is very misleading. The blooms on this malva are
only about the size of a quarter, maybe less. The plant itself is mighty
homely to me and gets ratty. If you're going to put them in the hot sun,
be sure and plant plenty around it so you can hide the plant but enjoy the
stalks of blooms.
