Pot them up! From Springhill, they are probably bare root anyway and a few
weeks in a pot that you can tend and water would do them a world of good.
Provide them with some shade for the first week or so and then move them
out into sun gradually increasing the amount they get...keep the soil in
the pots moist but not soggy...they will be just fine. Daylilies, even the
"educated" kind are tough customers. When fall rains arrive and the soil
gets workable, plant them out where you want them to grow and mulch well
for their first winter to avoid frost heaving, if that would be a problem
in NE MISS
