Oh, I see, Marge-- kind of like the way my grandmother makes her bread--
just a little of this and a handful of that until it "feels right"...
:-)
Seriously, this does answer my question. I always clean the tubs out over
winter anyway (no place to winter things over except in the ground) so
it's always fresh mix every spring and shouldn't get compacted because of
that.
