Re: favorite fragrances in the garden

It is probably a bit late to be talking about this, but Louise Beebe Wilder
(or is it Wilder Beebe -anyway the author of Adventures with Hardy Bulbs)
wrote a book called The Fragrant Garden, in which she goes through the
various plants in her garden that have a noticable fragrance. This book has
been reprinted recently, and I have copy in my library, but unfortunately I
am in England (not so unfortunately, really since there is no snow and it
hit 8 degrees C here today-as opposed to bloody cold and buried in snow if I
were at home). Primulas are out in the local gardens, and the odd fall
blooming shrub still has some flowers. I've seen a few roses as well but am
not in a good position to look around the local gardens as yet.
