We have one of those bottom heat mats for the seedlings,

afraid to put something like that in the birdbath.

But what about underneath?
Hmmnn...
Which makes me wonder...
What else could I use that is lying around w/o having to buy something...
What about a small warmer tray under the birdbath?
But I doubt its rated for outdoor use and a lot of wetness...
What's the worst that could happen?
Fry the tray?
And the extension cord?
I have a creek that runs behind the house where I'm sure they get plenty of
water as it runs year round except when we have a sever cold spell which we
haven't had for years.
So I'm afraid the thot of a birdbath heater is strictly for my own selfish
reasons -- I love to watch them!
Thanks for all your suggestions.
