Papaver somniferum


Now this is a fun and easy plant to grow in the PNW.  If you know of anyone with seeds, get a pod or two.

I must have a 16oz jar full of seeds from the plants in my yard.   I really like the different colors they  offered.
If I remember correctly, Seeds of Change use to sell around five varieties of this poppy.

Give this plant a try.

Ok, here is the big question. Is this the opium poppy?  I remember watching a show, and they were
in Thailand showing a field of opium poppy.  It sure look like the double pink in my yard.   Just wondering.
