Campanula Latifolia Amethyst

Merry Christmas to you all --
I received some seed pkts from Thompson & Morgan this week.
One of the items was Campanula Latifolia Amethyst.
The seed pkt says germination can take 1-3 months at 65-70F.
Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?
I suspect the seed is quite fine.
Will hot water help as suggested for the Asclepias?
