Hi Barb,

   I'm not aware of any lawn lists, but in anticipation of things to come
   at hort.net, I've gone ahead and created a lawn list there.  Of course,
   nobody's subscribed yet, but...  :)

   To subscribe, send mail to majordomo@hort.net with the body of your
   message containing the single line

   subscribe turfgrass

   I'm not much of a turf guy, but my gut tells me that your grass is 
   probably going to be OK.  You might want to aerate the soil in the
   spring to loosen things up if it's really compacted.
