Check out Gardening; best new books

Here is a long review of all the better garden books around this winter. I
am forwarding a link via AOL so if it does not work, you will have to find
the NYTimes Newstracker on Google.

You will note the costs are very high and become higher each year. I have a
folder on Windows where I will file this article. After a year or so, the
books will appear on comparison sites, half.com, or in softcover. If you
wait a bit you will save some money and the book will still be around.

Regarding that epimedium book by Stearns: it very well could be that there
are UK copies in this country right now. I was reminded by a NARGS member
that we saw the Rix/Phillips hardcover copy of "Annuals" at a chapter
meeting. It was brought in by a member and we supposed we could go right out
and buy it. It took me over a year to find it online from ABE books and it
is still not in American stores. Just why they kept it from American markets
where the sales are the greatest, I don't know.
