Re: Content of ideal magazine


Hello Bill,
    I do not believe the perfect gardening magazine exists or ever will. The
concept itself is kind of dysfunctional when you stop to think of it.... no
one magazine can be everything to every gardener, just as human beings who
attempt this one run a bit shallow and end up in deep do-do
relationship-wise.
    I will say that I am dropping the gardening magazines who carry articles
with all the depth of a good china saucer. I absolutely can not stand the
"byte" style writing some are moving to. I want the full 2000 words with
side bars and photographs. If the article is handled well, written well, I
will often read something that is completely out of my line of interest in
gardening. I have been drawn into new areas of interest and had my horizons
expanded every once in a while in the past. Now that is good writing and
presentation.....
