That is peculiar as Dr. Schmid lives in Georgia. These books headed for
other English speaking countries usually carry both systems, one in
parentheses. Dr. Schmid recently joined the Shade Garden List and is
offering his book to list members signed by himself as you wish, for $50.00.
Dr. Schmid has declined to be on any list for many years until the book
debuted. That is marketing Doug may wish to comment upon. Both of the
Schmid books seem to strike a balance between textbook style and that which a
hands on gardener could use.
