Boy is that a loaded question :) and since DH does not use a
computer....:)

IF I like it, and 'think' it might survive, and have enough money on me,
I buy it. I would not hesitate to spend 25 - 50 on a plant, and have
spent more but have to give it a second look first and it has to be a
larger plant. But I am also cheap and look at the bruised and reduced
sections ... and also check out any sale.

The bad news for the nursery owners on this list... I rarely spend much
on anything that has to be shipped to me. Will send in minor order for
some cheaper plants. Seems that almost all 'mail' order plants I get
never survive, and no I don't get replacements cause I never ask for
them UNLESS the plant is dead on arrival. I really think it is something
I am doing wrong. But I do lust over so many of the catalog / internet
pictures wishing I could find them locally. (Plant's Delight catalog
arrived today)

I have really killed way too many plants in the last few years. I was
always a shade gardener, but at this new house, no trees :( I have
learned to be a sun gardener while waiting for my trees to grow. Seems
my impatience has contributed to the death of many plants.. ie.
Purchasing shade plants when there is some shade, but not nearly enough.
I am hoping this year there will be enough shade to support that habit
of mine.

As far as experiences? Hum... I have constructed a landscaping fabric
cover to help some shade plants survive till the tree grows enough... or
it would have died.
