Voles

George the terror cat keeps my population about balanced in the front yard,
and the dogs take care of the ones in the back (of course, three dogs bring
their own damage to the garden).

My neighbor grows his hostas in LARGE plastic pots--enough drainage for the
plant but the holes in the pot are too small for the voles.  Clustered
tightly together, the bed looks like a raised bed of hostas because the
leaves hide the pots.
