plant data base

Is anyone familiar with an editable plant data base, or computer plant
encyclopedia? I was thinking about putting together a data base with
information about size, bloom, habit, etc, along with some notes about
how the plants have done in my climate. Then I could search on whatever
criteria I needed...I realized that this would be a lot of work, and if
there was already one out there somewhere, it would be much easier. I
really want to be able to edit it, however, to add comments and new
plants. Do you know of anything?
