Lovely to have your review of pulmonarias. I heartily agree with your
views. Pulmonarias are mollusc proof Hostas with prettier flowers.

I have a small collection. Time must be the best judge of many of them
since most were planted in 97. However  the  Beth Chatto introduction, P.
rubra "David Ward"  (variegated), planted in the open shade of my house has
multipled amazingly and is a good feature of my winter garden thus far. I
await the flowers in Spring!

I have had the ordinary "Spotted Dog" for 20+ yaers and love it. Even as a
child I admired its habit of changing the colour of its flowers as it aged.
