Diana and Duncan, the key thing with Roundup & it's chemical
relatives, is the plant must be actively growing. A short warm
spell in the winter generally provides insufficient
chemical uptake. Best wait for spring. In the meantime, you
might want to try a thick layer of newspaper and mulch to
smother the weeds. If your climate is anything like mine, it
will be well into the summer before there are several
consecutive days with no rain. The newspaper helps a lot.
