YEs, it is evergreen, a lovely blue-green actually. My plant is right on
4x4, but I have seen it as tall as 5 1/2'. The blooms begin in March here
and persist well into July. It is consistently the most asked about
perennial in my spring garden. And best part is, it thrives in DRY SHADE!
