Hi Donna, Yes E. wulfenii should be pruned to the ground, but ONLY the
stems that bloomed last year. The others stems will have flowers next
spring. Shake the old heads good before you cut them off and you will find
babies in your flower bed next spring. Enjoy, Marilyn
