Bare root plants are grown by nurseries too.  I think you mean bare root
plants over containerized plants.  Bare root plants are available in many
nurseries in early spring, or by catalog.  I think every source of trees
carries them bare root in the spring.  Are you looking for fruit trees,
deciduous shade trees, ornamentals or what?  Margaret
