Re: longest blooming perrenial?

Hi folks..my longest blooming perennial was a variegated leafed Phlox. It was
still blooming the end of November! Keep in mind I am in zone 6 (Connecticut).
It finally kicked the bucket on couple of weeks ago.

By the way..varigated plants need to have the green shoots taken off to stay a
true variegated plant. Learned this from some guy on HGTV that was in love
with variegated plants-I never knew this. I have an oregano that is varigated
and sure enough went out to check on it and I had some green shoots coming off
the plants. The man stated the plant tries to go back to it's original state.
Well, just thought I'd let you know. Hope everyone on this list has a
wonderful holiday and great New Year...

Janice
