I bought 2or 3 raspberry bushes at wal-mart a few years ago and I like them. I
thought the birds would eat too many but I feed my backyard wildlife so they
left the berries alone. I have never seen a snake around my bushes and by the
way I would go for the blackberries that you originally thinking about. I wish
my bushes were thornless. Good luck! Kris P
