Hi Barb, There was a large patch of Heritage raspberries out in the back
forty when I moved here 20 years ago and they are still producing like
crazy. I have never had to spray them or had a crop failure. I mulch
heavily with grass clippings as soon as the soil warms in the spring and
keep them well watered. I weed them and prune out the old spent canes every
March and work last years composted grass clippings around the crowns and
that's all I have to do. I would say you can't go wrong with them. Marilyn
