Gene, I just saw a stack of the book you mention at the Hardy Plant Society
of Oregon office this afternoon. It is a large book with a picture of a
beautiful black Hellebore on the cover. I think it is called About
Hellebores , Helen Ballard. It is expensive - about $50 (I think). I also
have Graham Rice's book and it is wonderful. I'd like to know which
Hellebores you are growing. I am mad about them and have many in my garden
as well as in the nursery. Don't think I could get through winter without
them :). We have a local hybridizer who has been at it for 30 years and he
has come up with some astounding beauties. I visit him every year in Feb or
March and marvel at his trial beds. Of course, I have to have 2 or 3 new
ones with every visit - it's the very least I can do!:)

Would anyone happen to have easy access to Helen Ballard's address? Also the
name
and price of her book on Hellebore? Is ordering the book same address
ordering
seeds from her? Does she have a name for her nursery or gardens?
Sure would appreciate any assistance you can give.
