RE: OREGON LILY LISTED AS ENDANGERED

Perhaps they will dig a few bulbs from each colony to propagate and then
return the clones to the original colony site. I was involved in similar
project for a rare, perhaps endangered, Penstemon from the Columbia River
Gorge. Seed was collected from several plants in a colony scattered in
rocky terrain above the Columbia river. Plants were grown from seed
collected from numbered sites, grown out to 4" pot size and then returned to
the appropriate sites. This was a project done by a local botanical garden.

I'm curious. What will they do to ensure that this plant survives? No one
can "police" the sites 24-7, nor can they put a fence around each lily.
Will they attempt tissue cultures/harvesting of bulbils to propagate it?
