Thanks everybody for the comments on potatoes and cleaning the soil. I'm
still not convinced that constant working of the soil prevents weeds,
although I guess it can cut down on the current season's crop of them since
you are uprooting them almost as fast as the seeds are germinating. But it
won't take long for them to return.
