You know, Dean, I've always wondered that, myself. Could be that the
Nicotiana used in insecticides is the same one used for smoking
tobacco and the rest of the family aren't quite as lethal in chemical
make up. Seems if there's an aphid within 100 miles, it will find
any ornamental Nicotiana...at least any I've ever grown...and become
fat, happy and fecund slurping away on it.
