Yep...and more than 2' deep.  I've read they can go as deep as 10
feet and I believe it.  Probably to the core of the earth, if truth
were told, where they imbibe molten lava and gain strength.

It's a deal...I'll take your Queen Anne's Lace - a plant I used to
have and have no more and actually like - and ship you all my
loathsome mugwort!  Be warned...mugwort has roots patterned after
bindweed, only fatter.  Just as brittle and going about as deep and
able to regenerate from microscopic bits....
