Re: bindweed was: Odd reference to potatoes


Intriguing question, Claire, and since I didn't know, did a quick web
search and found a page on - of all things - buckwheat!  Pretty
interesting, too.  URL is:

Appears it does have some weed inhibiting properties, but rather than
regurgitate what it says...check it out.  Reminded me I haven't had a
buckwheat pancake in probably 40 years or more!
