RE: what is stock


It is an annual and I throw seed out every year -- but typically the plants
live over for me 1-2 years, depending on our winters.  They do like cool
germination conditions, so I throw my seed out in March or so -- you may
have to do it earlier.  I don't even think a little frost/snow would
necessarily kill the seed.  You'll probably be happier with the results from
seed - - you'll more and bigger, bushier plants.

I plant mine around the garden, but our summer temperatures rarely get into
the 90's.  You may need to sow your seed in the fall -- check with some
other southern gardeners.  Do keep them deadheaded, as well, unless you are
going to collect your own seed.  The seed capsules are distinct, elongated
pods.  Wait until they are dry to harvest.
