Re: what is stock

Val

what we are having here is a false spring. It has been so nice lately.
last week was beautiful and this week the nice weather is continuing,
but that's when we really have to watch out.
I have got daffodils blooming and crocus, I noticed today that there
are probable 15 to 20 buds on my royal star magnolia that has bloomed
out, and my saucer magnolia buds are just about bursting. I've
considered going out and putting rubber bands around each bud so they
wont bloom, because just about the time they are in full bloom, here
comes a freak artic blast and the next day I'll be picking brown blooms
off my trees. "it happens every year"
It was 73 here today. every thing is putting little buds on and they
will be killed I'm afraid. for the past several weeks our temps have
ranged from the high 50's to the 70's we've had some cool nights and
some frost
as far as live plants are concerned, the only ones I've seen are the
cool weather ones, like violas, pansy, flowering kale, and the likes.
I didn't know about the stock, just saw it and thought it pretty. I
assumed it was a cool weather plant , otherwise they wouldn't have
offered it for sale. I'm going back for more since it turned out to be
such a winner with everyone
