Donna,
From my experience stock need about the same conditions as pansies. From
experience I have had the single flower varieties reseed. They belong to
crucifer or cabbage family and are related to such cool weather plants as
broccoli, mustard, and cauliflower. I read that they prefer an alkaline soil.
They are a nice cool weather plant, but cannot withstand warm temps.
