Pink Jasmine

A pink-flowered jasmine that has been reliably hardy for me in zone
7a/6c for about 20 years is Jasminum stephanense.  Its fragrance is
not memorable, as is that of several of the less hardy jasmines, but
it IS a true jasmine.

Other jasmines for 6c/7a climates are J. nudiflorum and J. parkeri. 
The latter is a very dwarf rock garden plant that I've killed three
times (Tony Avent's limit is my limit, too), but a number of
fellow-rock-gardeners in this area have been successful with it.  

Another fine jasmine for this climate is Gelsemium sempervirens, the
bright large-flowered yellow Carolina Jasmine that is the state
flower of my home state, South Carolina.  Thirty years ago, one had
to grow it in very sheltered spots here in the Potomac Valley, but
hardier strains have been discovered and developed, and I have
enjoyed a vigorous specimen for almost twenty years, with profuse
bloom every spring.  Marcia Holden and Gene Vigil, my neighbors
across the street, have one twining up one of their front-porch
columns.
