Hi Susan!
You have got a long list of good suggestion - but far as I've seen nobody
have yet have mentioned one of my favorite in shade - I also have it in dry
shade: 
Galium odoratum or Sweet woodruff. 
I is so nice that I feel I am not able to describe it in English! 
And if you don't know it ask more later and I will try!
