I live in zone 7 (NE Mississippi) and last spring I had petunias to
over winter and they grew like crazy. I had to cut them back early and
did this several times during the spring. I have some out there now
that lived through this winter and they reseeded and I've got babies
that lived through the snow we had. of course it didn't stay long,
but I was surprised they survived. I'm getting ready to pot some of
them up for transplanting later. I didn't cut mine serverly
