Re: Covenants (was bottle trees) (warning--gets ranty by the end)


I'm interested in your comments about our New Zealand gardens Karen. Perhaps one of the reasons we are a nation of gardeners is that we can grow plants year round here. We are living in Wanganui and I can't say that i have even seen a house without a reasonable garden here. The city itself in kept in great order and the main street is lined with plane trees as well as sporting about 800 hanging baskets. I'm not aware of any covenants forbidding the use of gnomes, butterflies, flags or any other thing. Folk do as they please and the result generally does.
