Making Rose Labels for Rose Tour

Hi Ladies and Gents,

An update on what is happening in this neck of the woods. I think I
already told you that I have been asked to place my home on the tour for
the 2002, Year of the Rose campaign, for our local rose society, and have
accepted.

I wanted to find a neat way to label my roses so that I would not be asked
all day, by over 500 people, What rose is this? What rose is this? ;)

So, I found these beautiful ceramic white tiles for 3 cents a piece. I am
going to label them with porcelain markers, such as these described below:

Then, to make the labeling more permanent, so that it is night likely to
fade too quickly, I'm going to spray them with a coat of UV acrylic spray:

My question is, has anyone every tried this? If so, how did it work for
you? I think it will work out fine, but I am open to suggestions.

Thanks,
Alan, who will be very busy in a couple of weeks baking over 250 ceramic
tiles instead of cookies =)
