Beth,
'Comtesse de Bouchard' is a mauve-pink that is a heavy bloomer over a
long period here.
Here's a link to a photo that shows it near to the color it is in my
garden:

Subject: clematis viticella varieties
I've never grown viticella's and am eyeing the catalogs...
I know that people on this list have recommended Etoille Violette, Polish
Spirit, and Betty Corning in the past. A few questions:
1) can anyone compare Etoille Violette and Polish Spirit? They both look
similar in photos...
2) Has anyone tried Perle d'Azure ?
3) any recommendations / experiences in the white, pink, or red colors ?
I'm thinking of trying to grow them through some mature lilac shrubs...
