Many people in the Midwest don't realize that we have a large slug, the
leopard slug. It is 4 inches long. Banana slugs are 6-12 inches though.
Fortunately it is not very common. It is the tiny garden slugs that eat
everything. I am amazed that one of those tiny things can eat an entire
blooming Physoplexis comosa plant in one night.
